Challenge yourself and raise funds for NICHS by taking part in one of our exciting fundraising events. There is something to suit everyone, whether you are a complete beginner or an elite athlete.
Causeway Trek - This event has been successfully running from May 2006. The next date is Saturday, 22nd 2010. This is your opportunity to spend a beautiful day walking in a picture-postcard landscape, whilst helping those who would give anything for the good health that would allow them to do the same. The 12-mile walk sets off from the Giant's Causeway and finishes at Larrybane car park. Along the route aside from the magnificence of the Giant's Causeway itself, you will be treated to glorious views of Dunservick Harbour, the smallest church in Ireland at Portbradden, and the windswept sand dunes of Whitepark Bay. If you are interested in taking part please contact Roisin Hughes, Fundraising Co-ordinator, at (028) 9026 6707 for further information.
We have also had many people fundraise for us by doing many different events such as golf competitions, sponsored walks, quiz nights and much more.
Two brothers Dermott and Aidan Cushnahan participated in a cycle event from London to Paris last year. This Cycling event from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque countryside, you cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. They raised £2,698.00 from this event for NI Chest Heart and Stroke.
