The new Stadium to the Sea course, starting at Dodger Stadium, will wind its way through Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica on the way to a picturesque finish in front of the Pacific Ocean. Rotterdam Marathon - 11th April 2010
But every spring, thousands of runners flock to this modern, industrial port and city to take part in its marathon. They are drawn by a pancake-flat course and the knowledge that the organisers, despite a limited budget, put on a fine race. Crowd support doesn't compare to New York or Boston, but the city does get behind the race and practically closes down on race day. Rotterdam was one of the first marathons to adopt chip timing, and the event is constantly trying to innovate and challenge the idea that only major cities can have great marathons. Copenhagen Marathon - 23rd May 2010
Copenhagen Marathon takes place every year in May. The event has since its initial race in 1980 grown to be a highly anticipated annual tradition for both runners and spectators. Budapest International Marathon -26th September 2010
More than 10,000 runners will take part in the races of different distances and there will be more than 2,700 individual marathon runners at the start line. The course of the race led through the most beautiful parts of the Hungarian capital, the runners had the chance to run across the Heroes' Square, through the very famous Andrássy Street, past the Buda Castle and the magnificent building of the Hungarian Parliament. Athens Classic Marathon - 31st October 2010

New York Marathon -7th November 2010
This superb marathon takes in the five boroughs of New York City, finishing in Central Park. It boasts arguably the best marathon atmosphere in the whole wide world, with two million cheering spectators along the route and musical entertainment every half mile.

Honolulu Marathon - To be confirmed
This spectacular course is 26 miles long. The Honolulu Marathon's scenic course includes spectacular ocean views alongside world-famous Waikiki Beach, and Diamond Head and Koko Head volcanic craters.
