Your Chance to Influence Heart and Stroke Treatment
Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke is encouraging patients, service users and the general public to participate in a consultation exercise which will hopefully influence how heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease are treated in the future in Northern Ireland.
A new Service Framework for Cardiovascular Health and Wellbeing is being developed by the Department of Health, Social Services & Public Safety.
This is a vital document which will influence the treatment of these illnesses over the next decade. The framework will ensure that the same high level of treatment is made available in every part of Northern Ireland. This has not been the case up until now. By taking part in the consultation you will be ensuring that those who encounter these illnesses in the future will have high quality treatment.
There are two ways to take part:
(a) Completion of the questionnaire below. Please return to Anne Madden at amadden@nichsa.com. The information gathered will be put together in a report which will be submitted to the Health Minister before 30 September.
(b) Attendance at one of three workshops in September. These are being held at City Hotel, Derry on 8th, Armagh City Hotel on 9th and Malone Lodge Hotel, Belfast on 10th. Please fill in reply slip below.
