The NI Chest Heart & Stroke Association welcomes any initiative by a Government Minister to tackle waiting lists. The Minister ought to be aware that this has been a problem, which has been existing in the Health Service for at least 18 years.
The NI Chest Heart & Stroke Association welcomes any initiative by a Government Minister to tackle waiting lists. The Minister ought to be aware that this has been a problem, which has been existing in the Health Service for at least 18 years.
Many initiatives have been undertaken which have, in the short term, improved the situation. However, these are often stop-go initiatives and the benefits to the public are curtailed after a period of time when motivation and enthusiasm are lacking.
NICHSA will watch carefully what the Minister outlines in his address at 8.30am on Monday 4th July 2005.
